Job Summary:
Waters Church is seeking a dynamic and spiritually mature Worship Leader to join our team.
The Worship Leader will be responsible for leading our congregation in worship across multiple
locations including Woonsocket, RI, Tiverton, RI, and North Attleboro, MA. This role requires a
blend of musical talent, leadership skills, and a deep commitment to fostering a worship
environment that is both engaging and points towards Christ.
Key Responsibilities:
Worship Leadership:
- Lead weekend services, special events, and other church gatherings in worship.
- Inspire and guide the congregation into an engaging encounter with God through music.
Musical Proficiency:
- Demonstrate proficiency in playing guitar and/or keyboard.
- Be a strong vocalist capable of leading and harmonizing.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Ableton Live for live performance using Multitracks.
- Proficiency in ProPresenter for managing lyrics, media, and stage visuals during
services.
- Proficiency in Planning Center to manage Order of Service plans.
Team Building and Management:
- Recruit, train, and lead a team of musicians and vocalists.
- Manage and schedule volunteers, ensuring they are well-integrated and supported in
their roles.
- Foster a team culture that values growth, collaboration, and spiritual development.
- Assist Worship Director with auditions/onboarding process for new team members.
Service Preparation:
- Plan and prepare weekly worship sets that align with the church vision.
- Coordinate with the Worship Director on song selection, service flow, and special music
elements.
Flexibility and Travel:
- Willingness to travel between church locations (Woonsocket, RI; Tiverton, RI; North
Attleboro, MA) as needed to lead worship services.Qualifications:
- Must possess a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Theological alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Waters Church.
- Proven experience as a worship leader in a church setting.
- Excellent musicianship.
- Strong vocal abilities.
- Understanding and experience with Ableton Live, ProPresenter, and Planning Center.
- Demonstrated leadership in building and managing teams.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Able to make quick and effective decisions on the spot.
Additional Requirements:
- Availability for weekend services, rehearsals, and occasional evening events.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel between church locations.
